 Bintan Training camp – 2 -3 August 2014
Saturday: Ferry/Swim clinic/Endurance Swim (2k or 4k)/ Bike clinic/Brick Session (40k bike  + 10k run or 60k bike + 15k run)/Open Q&A session with coaches
Sunday: Endurance bike (90k or 130k fully supported on Metaman course)/Ferry
The camp is all-inclusive allowing you to focus on your training while Metasport take care of the admin and logistics. Includes: 1 night (twin-sharing**) at Nirwana Gardens, venue of  MetaManBintan; Return ferry + bike transport (Singapore to Bintan); Breakfast, lunches and dinner; Snacks and drinks whilst training; Return transfer from ferry to hotel; Training and clinics led by MetaSport coaches
Camp fee is SGD435. Open to all.  5% discount for ANZA members (not much but will finance a few beers on the ferry back!)

Thanyapura Triathlon Super Camp – August 23-30th, 2014
Last call for this camp which is the perfect foundation training block for those looking to peak for their A race in September thru December (Kona, Metaman, Langkawi, Challenge Phuket etc). This is a unique opportunity to train alongside some of the best professionals in the world.   The team at Thanyapura have kindly offered up a limited number of spaces to ANZA members who will qualify for a 10% discount if we register as a group.  Normal Cost is 45,000 THB for own room (around $1,400 USD)  and 1,100 USD for twin share.   • 113K Triathlon (Half Ironman) Desaru, A classic race for those who like it hot and tough.  16 August
  • Powerbar PD Duathlon 1-2 November.  Worth doing just to get the cool t-shirts.  (registration opening soon)


Athlete Lab ABC Road Bike Skills Clinic
21/6 Saturday 7.30am
ABC Road Bike Skills Clinic (120mins) – Meet/finish back at Athlete Lab (71 Amoy Street).
Session starts with an easy warm-up ride from Amoy Street to the slopes of Mt. Faber. Then, practice will take place at available car parks and on the slopes of Mt. Faber, and includes the following: – Attack Position Variations + E-Braking Downhill ; Climbing & Descending Practice ; Cornering Solo and Group Practice ; Shifting Mastery.  Don’t let the name fool you – ABC works for the more seasoned cyclists too. Triathletes stand to benefit as much as roadies will for this session’s skill set. Anyone’s who’s wondered how to get more confident in a competitive, fast-moving group of race-pace riders will fully appreciate the confidence a focused morning of ‘sessioning’ can bring to their riding.

Session is open and free to all ANZA members – just turn up and introduce yourself to Coach Wilson (98784113)
